Items such as cabinet keys, furniture screws, remote controls, furniture assembly tools, phone charger, medications.  In a safe spot ! EJ Shaw provides a complimentary Safe Spot Box which the removalists will load in the truck last then give to you first on arrival at your new home. Can I use any boxes to pack for my move?

It is not ideal to pack your goods into any old boxes such as those you may pick up at the supermarket or bottle shop.  These boxes will probably be different sizes so will be harder for the removalist to load efficiently in the truck. This may result in a larger volume being taken up which may increase the cost of your move if interstate and/or may result in a longer load time if a local job. BBQ gas cylinders will not be carried by a removalist unless you can provide a certificate from a Gas Cylinder Test Station certified by Standards Australia, stating the cylinder has been purged. You should never burn off the gas nor simply release the gas into the atmosphere. Gas is heavy and will not dissipate making an explosion a distinct possibility. Some companies advertise backload rates for interstate jobs – they give deals when they need to fill up a truck returning to depot.  EJ Shaw Removals has a truck leaving Brisbane every Wednesday and another leaving Melbourne every Wednesday so it is worth calling us to see if we can offer a backload rate for your move.
